The Valda Hunter School of Dance has been running for over 47 years and has produced some fantastic dancers and teachers over this period.
Miss McCue was classically trained at ballet school between 1986 and 1990 and then went on to work in the theatre, television shows and lots more.
She then started teaching at the family school, which led to becoming a teacher at the famous Dance School of Scotland where she specialised in Jazz and Tap Seniors.
Miss McCue also taught H.N.C. at Anniesland College as well as training dancers at the Musical Theatre School run at Knightswood Secondary.
The late JIMMY and VALDA McCUE were also dancers of their time, dancing with the famous group The Beatles and featuring in Come Dancing with their speciality being the Jive.
Pupils have also appeared on television with many different pop groups, danced in concert with Boyzone and Westlife at the S.E.C.C. in Glasgow, modelled in professional fashion shows, and lots more!!
At our dancing school we follow R.A.D. and B.A.T.D (and I am also a teacher registered with I.S.T.D.) syllabus for ballet tap freestyle cheerleading and Drama. I have a wide range of knowledge in dance and feel I can offer my pupils an environment where they can express, be creative, have fun and also dance well, with their friends and grow with our school!
Myself and my teachers are life long learners and continue to work on teaching skills and continue our journey through CPD*.
